Video: The True Story Of A Broken Girl And A Broken Horse!

Good Sunday Morning to Ya’ll

Horse lovers know the healing power of love that only horses can give. This is the video story by and about Meghan Dixon. The trials of her life in her youth are similar to so many American teens. Over 2 million American adolescents attempt suicide every year. 700,000 American teens receive medical care for suicidal thoughts or attempts every year. In 2013 over 140,000 horses were sent to slaughter. Think of how many US teen lives could be saved if instead of sending these horses to slaughter, if they instead were matched with teens and other people going through depression. I know its not that simple – but this is just a seed of an idea. ~ HfH

Very moving, especially since I have 2 20+ QHs in my backyard too.

I read about this gal a while ago – hope she continues to feel better about herself. I know she has helped to publicize the wild horses & the slaughter “issue”. We all know that horses heal us!

Great story. It’s so true. Every day horses are healing children, adults and other animals. They are the most magnificent creature God has given us. Yet the low life’s and the inhumane people involved in this process have no compassion nir do they care. Its all about the money. But they will be judged!

So very true!! My son took his own life long before I reconnected with horses again. They are such amazing, intuitive creatures. My most horrific regret in life, was that I did not share my love of horses with him.. But I feel very grateful that we so truly loved our dogs & cats… Bless you Meghan! Horses help so very many, including our Veterans & PTSD issues.. Thanks H4H for sharing this… many tears here……
