First Annual Adoption Appreciation Day
It has been 15 years since Habitat for Horses opened. We have seen hundreds of horses come in our doors in the worst condition possible. After months of rehabilitation of body and spirit, a wondrous event happens – this magnificent creature that has been through so much meets a loving person or family. Together they form a new bond – a forever home.
Each Habitat for Horses’ Forever Home family has a story to share. Stories of first meetings, funny, happy and yes – even sad events that happen in any relationship. Horses and humans form bonds whose meaning and importance can outlast a lifetime. Are you a person or family with a story to tell? We would love to hear it. Habitat for Horses is holding our First Annual Adoption Appreciation Day this April 25th, 2015 – 1PM at our Manvel Texas Ranch located at 8580 Bissell Rd, Manvel, TX 77578. This coincides with the national ASPCA’s “Help A Horse Day”. We wish we could say “bring your horse” but unfortunately we will have to do that at some point in the future. This year – bring your pictures, bring your stories, share with other adopters. Be sure to RSVP for this event by emailing Donna Cameron – a Habitat for Horses board member and adopter at Donnacameron1@att.net by March 31st, 2015.
Whether or not you are able to make it to – please share your stories about your horse, burro, mule or mini that you adopted from Habitat for Horses by using the form below. We would love to hear from you and see your pictures! We will be posting them on our website for easy viewing on your phone or tablet while at the event.
