Meet Allegra

Bay horses can be so gorgeous. That deep reddish brown coat with those dark lower legs and mane. Allegra is no exception. At 8 years of age, this beauty of a Quarter Horse recently received high marks on her ground manners and riding skills. Our trainer, Chucky, observed and tested her thoroughly. Allegra has excellent social skills – she loves both people and other horses in the herd. Like many horses, while not aggressive at feeding time, she will push more submissive horses out of the way to get food. Allegra has no problems with you touching her face and ears.

She was easy to catch, halter, lead & tie. Allegra stands quietly while being tacked and mounted. Farriers have no need to fear either – she does great with them, allowing her legs to be lifted and her hooves worked with.

Allegra does use a Tom Thumb bit with direct reins only while riding. She will *stop* with an unbalanced rider and not go further. Otherwise she did great during her evaluation She moved out great, received good scores on her arena ability, walking and backing up and high marks for her trotting. She was not tested as a trail horse, nor was her lope/canter ability or running ability tested.

Here are some pictures of his beauty:

She reminds me of my quarter gelding he was the same as she and in the summer his coat was so pretty & slick. Your right bays can be beautiful too.
