WOULD YOU KNOW HOW TO SAVE A HORSE LIKE THIS?

GAUGE YOUR KNOWLEDGE

Hearing the phone ring shouldn’t be a heart-stopping moment. But several times a week at Habitat for Horses, it is because the voice at the other end of the line belongs to the sheriff.

There is always a sense of urgency in these calls. Horses are seized only when neglect or abuse is so advanced that a horse’s life is in danger. They need our help immediately.

We rarely get all the facts that led to this desperate situation, but law enforcement trusts us to do everything we can to save an equine. Thanks to horse-loving friends like you, we don’t have to give our response a second thought.

Rescuing and rehabilitating horses in critical condition is not an easy task – would you know what steps to take?
