Keara’s Story

“When we first got her she would not let anyone touch her feet and she was very hard to handle.”
A couple years ago Keara a Morgan was adopted from Habitat for Horses. She was rescued from slaughter. When we first got her she would not let anyone touch her feet and she was very hard to handle. Eventually she overcame herself. She was started in Parelli with Kerri April which helped her gain trust and a relationship. I, Jessica Dziekan with the help of LynneWebb (Keara’s owner) brought her up through the levels of Parelli. Eventually we moved on from Parelli and got an Eventing trainer named Barrett Diehl. She helped Keara and I get started in the sport of eventing and get us out to some schooling shows and eventually to some horse trials. Keara is now a very happy mare in her forever home. She has taught me so much, and I can’t wait to see what our future holds.
