Habitat for Horses welcomes the Carmeliters!

One part of Habitat for Horses mission is educate the community on the health and welfare of horses. While we are not open to the public, there are times when we go to the community or when groups can arrange to come tour our equine rehabilitation facilities. The interaction of humans with horses is good for both humans and horses! Knowledge is gained on how horses are brought back to heath – both physcial and mental – after living for months or years in states of neglect and abuse. On June 9th, the Clear Lake City Carmeliters came to tour our Hitchcock equine rehabilitation ranch. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the experience. And the horses especially enjoyed the snacks given to them!

Gotta find some shade where you can. The horses have shelters and shade of the trees across the property to find shade in.
