Meet Luna, a cow that thinks she just might be a horse. No thanks to her owner Regina Mayer who trained Luna to gallop across the countryside and jump over hurdles. All these efforts made because her parents wouldn’t allow her to own a horse on their dairy farm in Laufen, Germany.
Mayer began training Luna not long after the calf was born. Pretty soon, she threw a saddle on the animal and began riding her. Now, Luna understands commands such as “go,” “stand” or “gallop” perfectly. As long as there are carrots to go along with them.
