This sweet boy is finally up to weight and has begun his under-saddle work here at Habitat for Horses. He gallops over to us when it’s breakfast or dinner time and he loves a good scratch and grooming session with his humans in the arena. He seems to have the basics down and will walk and trot easily under saddle. His steering can be a bit sticky but he’s getting it and starting to do well on circles. He’s had a snaffle bit in his mouth but seems to prefer bitless at the moment. He’ll need either an experienced rider to finish his education or a rider working with a trainer to make sure he’s finished up the way you want. Due to his light skin, he’ll need sun protection during the summer. He’s done well in stalls with us, but would also be fine with a good sun protector mask and sunscreen. If you think you have a spot for this sweet, goofy gelding – he’d love to meet you!
