An Angel Flies to Heaven

Anne Marie Finch left our world, along with her two dogs, in a fire at her ranch in Kentucky. Her loss comes as a tragic shock to everyone who knew her. There is no understanding the event, no logic in attempting to reason how or why, which makes it all the harder to accept. No one was “just a friend” in her world. Once she smiled, once her eyes met yours, she was a close friend, a friend you trusted, respected and loved.

Anne Marie was on our Board of Directors and acted as our Treasurer. Her values were reflected in our actions, her moral strength gave weight to our decisions. She questioned, as excellent attorneys and great Board members should do, and she gave of herself with a rare and unique level of love and compassion. Above all else, she was here because of her love of horses, and they returned her love, as did her two favorite dogs.

Words will never convey the depth of sadness so many feel at her loss. More than anyone, her greatest love, closest friend and husband, Lloyd Schwing, must deal with unfathomable grief. Our prayers are given to him as our hands and hearts reach out to help in any way possible.

While she left our physical world, she is very much a part of our spiritual world, a world where special angels watch over those who are left behind.

Please accept my deepest condolences to everyone at Habitat for Horses on the very tragic loss of Anne Marie Finch and her two furry companions. Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am to hear of this horribly sad loss. Everyone at Habitat for Horses and Ms. Finch’s family and friends are in my prayers and thoughts. I’m sorry to never had the great honor of personally meeting Ms. Finch (or anyone at Habitat for Horses) but I know the Habitat for Horses family and name is one of true compassion and tireless, selfless devotion to those in need. God Bless You All.

So sad. God takes the good people and animals home with Him. But our world is less, but more in that they were once here and impacted many.

There are no words to express how sad and tragic this is. My heart goes to her family and her husband, and to Jerry, for their tragic loss. It looks like if good, kind people always have to depart this world prematurely… but I can only be sure that such departure is only temporary. We will see them again… but not now. They will live forever for they are in our hearts and memories.

If there is something I can do for you guys, please let me know. I am so very sorry.

When wonderful, giving people are called too soon to Heaven, I know it’s because God needed more Angels to help him. So very sorry for the loss of this great lady and her companions.

To Jerry & everyone at H4H.. My thoughts & prayers are with all of you at this time. Such a horrible tragedy & there are no words to comfort nor console you. Please know that the rest of us truly care.. She was obviously an amazing woman who truly cared & gave her all.. A special “ANGEL”, no doubt! An inspiration to the rest of us to continue to help the innocent ones.
