The cowboy way to catch and load horses

Russell Higgins

On Monday be sure to let Magnolia ISD and the Friendship Center know that Donkey Basketball is NOT acceptable entertainment. We keep pressing this point because the Donkey Basketball event will happen this Tuesday, February 11th. Call Diana Trim at the Friendship Center and tell them what you think of donkey basketball.(281) 259-6665. Call the Magnolia ISD and tell them what you think of the idea of Charlie Riley using the Magnolia Jr. High Gym for his fundraiser. 281-356-3571

Here is a video for your Saturday morning. ~ HfH

Sure does beat chasing your horse around the pasture & then spending hours attempting to load him! Have seen videos of THAT too!

    Amazing! Loading was never so
However, my call to Beau was to rattle his bridle, and he would run to stick his head in it it! Just like a dog when he sees his leash, Beau was so excited to get to go for a ride.

Oddly enough, the only horse that I have ever had who did not load himself was my ‘Seattle Slew’ son who had horrible threshold anxiety. We got past this but it took all kinds of things, we finally decided to load him after his BFF was on the Trailer and then he could not get on fast enough. BTW these horses were so bonded they were together for life and they died on the same day and are buried in the same grave. Very sad.
