The European Union has stopped the import of horsemeat from Mexico

BREAKING NEWS The European Union has stopped the import of horse meat from Mexican slaughterhouses – effectively immediately. Approximately 100,000 American horses cross the Mexican border to be slaughtered each year. The majority of their meat had been shipped to the European Union. Those shipments are now halted.
