Everytime I see this, tears well up. But how many people saw that commercial and celebrated the beautiful Clydesdale, understanding the implication of our relationship with the horses but did not know the irony in that the horses are realistically protrayed as honoring those who died and sharing with us the pain of that horrible day – but the government organized to preserve freedom and pursuit of happiness allows them to suffer pain and fright in unimaginable ways in the slaughter pipeline. How devastating to realize this.

Goose bumps and tears well up in my eyes every time I see this. It truly was a beautiful honoring of all the lives lost that day.
