Happy Endings
We'd like to share with you images of the horses who have gone to new homes and into the loving arms of a caring human.

Here, you will find pictures of the new parents and their adopted horse. We won't always be able to snap that perfect picture with the smiling new mom or dad but we'll try to capture these special moments to share them with you.

Peanut, Luke, Dancer and Mama
This unusual herd was adopted by Lori on August 18, 2004.

Stitch, Latoya and Little Richard
Stitch (Stitch in Time), Latoya (Gypsy) and Little Richard (Scout) were adopted by Loretta (pintxcowgirl) in June 2004.

Milo
Milo was adopted by Kim on April 19, 2004.

Mac
Mac was adopted by Rebecca on March 16, 2004.

Lori and Darby
Lori adopted Darby on January 9, 2004.

Chip with Janet
Janet and Howard adopted Chip on January 5, 2004.

Willie & Kelly
Rebecca, a volunteer at HfH, adopted both Willie and Kelly, a devoted couple, in November, 2003. Sadly, Willie passed away January 11, 2004 and Kelly passed away shortly thereafter on May 6. Rebecca has since adopted two more older horses, Mac and Faith.

Marco
October 15, his final day at HfH, being held by his adopters, Mr. and Mrs. Thorston, and photographed by the Galveston Daily News. When Marco arrived, he weighed 600 pounds. Today he weighed 832 pounds. He turns 30 in January.

Sundance (and his cute belly)
Sundance was adopted by Sharon in August, 2003. Photograph taken at Habitat for Horses.

Red and Chief
Red and Chief were adopted by Carol Chapman in May, 2003.

Ziggy and Shelli
This picture was taken in February, 2003 when Shelli flew from the East coast to meet Ziggy for the first time. As you can see, she's a very happy girl.

She took the Basic Horsemanship Class with Jennifer and spent two full days with just the two of them.

Ziggy was adopted by Shelli in March.
