Hello, This little girl grabbed my heart the minute I learned of the tragedy and her death. I am a breeder and I have a beautiful mare in foal for the Spring. Her name is Royal PRincess and is an elite Hanoverian mare. She is in foal to my stallion Rosall and I will be naming the foal with a R name.. and I immediately thought to name her foal Royal Rekos.. And call the baby Jess. or Reko. But I feel I should reach the family and be sure they are ok with it. Can you help me to send the message? May I make a donation to make some more little stuffed horses? Thank you for helping me be in touch.. And I applaud your work.
    sincerely Wendy Winett Costello

Hi Wendy – No, I have not contacted the Rekos family. What we are doing is not endorsed nor promoted by them. I’m fairly certain that they have been bombarded by far too many people wanting to do something. I had rather that they just hear about it at some point and I’m sure they will be thankful to everyone that steps forward to act in honor of Jessica.

On the website – http:habitatforhorses.org – you’ll find the “Donate Now” buttons.

Thank you and keep in touch, perhaps send some pictures when the foal is born.
