Horse gather concludes
So how many more will they satisfied with? And did those shades get put up at the Palomino Valley holding area? ~ HfH
From: Elko Daily Press
The gather area was 10 miles northeast of Lovelock. A total of 101 horses were gathered.
The animals were transported to the Palomino Valley Center near Reno, where they will be prepared for the BLM adoption program.
Horses not adopted will be placed in long-term pastures where they will be humanly cared for and retain their “wild” status and protection under the 1971 Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act. The BLM does not sell or send any horses to slaughter.
Habitat for Horses is always on the lookout for a few great people, both in the office and on our ranches. The work is unique, the animals are special and we want folks who both know and understand the special connection our animals need.
Don’t forget – if you have adopted a horse from Habitat for Horses we want to show you how much we appreciate your support tomorrow at our Manvel Texas Ranch! Find out more! http://www.habitatforhorses.org/share-your-hfh-horse-adoption-story/
