Real Estate Habitat for Horses willingly accepts donations of marketable, lien free real estate when given without restrictions.
Personal Property We will accept cars, trailers, tractors and other large items as long as we can easily obtain them. A car in New York is of little use to us, but a tractor in Dallas is more than welcome. We will accept gifts of art, jewelry, collections and other items. Such donations having a declared value above $5,000 should have an appraisal prior to the transfer.
Foundations Foundations are the life blood of Habitat for Horses, giving us the ability to save hundreds of horses throughout the country. Foundation support is critical to our goals, so we welcome their support in promoting the safety and well being of horses and in utilizing horses in our work with people. Private, family and community foundations can help Habitat for Horses in our many programs that are vital to the horses and people we serve.
The following are just a few of the programs for which Habitat for Horses seeks foundation support:
1) Education in proper equine management
2) Aiding law enforcement in enforcing equine
protection laws
3) Hands-on programs for urban youth
4) At-risk youth counseling
5) Free services for terminally-ill and burn victim youth
6) Establishing a nationwide network for equine
abuse investigations
