Forget about everything else, this mini is about to give birth

We could sit here all day, ranting and raving about a zillion problems. I admit, I often do just that, even when no one is around to listen to me, but then comes something beautiful and I’m transported into another world.

Like this one – Christine Erickson put this up on Mashable for the whole world to see.

The mare, named Becca, is pregnant with her sixth foal. The 10-year-old miniature horse has been on labor watch for about a week, thanks to The Pet Collective and Little Hooves. This is mostly for monitoring purposes, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be amazed by the miracle of life.

Watch close… it will happen any minute. CLICK HERE

Thanks for the link Jerry. This littlte mare is adorable! The YouTube version is lighter, easier to see. I was here when you first put out the notice and watched for a while but had to go do outside chores. I see I didn’t miss anything yet 🙂

The rescue I work with presently has 3 rescued mini pregnant mares. We are constantly on “mare stare.” LOL

I can’t wait to see this precious teeny baby! I’m wondering, though, if Becca can see out of that room at all, or is she completely isolated from other horses?

She does seem isolated from other horses. Becca calls and no one answers. Heard the man say he should run a contest to have the winner clean up and feed twice a day for the rest of their lives.

Well, I am sure she would love to have this all over with. What a pretty little horse.

I’ve been keeping an eye on this beautiful little mare for a few days now. Modern technology is amazing! Ya know, I wonder though… does she get out at all? That would be really good for her! Some company too, another mare perhaps, would be good for her as well. Also I noticed it’s stated she is ten years old and this is her 6th foal! I sure hope they plan on giving her body a break.

Her stool is looking kinda dry. Maybe a nice, warm bran mash would be a good thing. I see them refill water, but haven’t seen them change it. Hope I just missed it.
