Oklahomans Against Horse Slaughter in 2012 and Beyond

Facebook Page!

Put your hoof picks and curry combs away folks! It is time to saddle up and getO down to business! We have been getting a lot of support across the U.S. on this issue, and now it’s time to come front and center and turn up the heat!

images-4HB1999 and SB375 must go back to committee and then back to the floor for another vote if they make it out of committee. We should know sometime today what committees they have been assigned to and take note: The public CAN and SHOULD attend these meetings.

When you phone, e mail or fax ask for your call or write at the top of your e mail to be “FOR THE RECORD”. Keep it simple, factual, and above ALL polite and professional no matter how they behave towards you or how you feel about horse slaughter.

The elected officials work for US and they want to stay in office. You are truly their boss no matter how you feel or what you think about the government and how it looks on the outside to you.

YOU have a wallet and you are a consumer. Think about the impact you could have on the folks lining the pockets of legislators based on what YOU buy.

This decision is not just a State decision. This decision will have ramifications nationwide. VOTE NO on HB1999 and SB375 in committee and on the floor. Do NOT let them fool you by saying “It’s already a done deal” which they WILL do!

It’s a game folks and it is time to PLAY!

I just called and the receptionist was VERY NICE! She asked me if I was in state or out. When we were hanging up I told her to have a nice day (not sarcastically nicely). She said you too! Nice person!

The wild horses do NOT JUST BELONG TO OK., they BELONG TO AMERICAN’S. They are part
of our heritage. An occasional round up, to thin the herd, is O.K. ONLY if the horses are PLACED IN GOOD HOMES. These horses should NEVER BE SENT TO SLAUGHTER!!!! They should NOT BE STERILIZED, EITHER. This would, be permanent DAMAGE to an American Symbol. This also

Absolutely dispicable that OK would allow horse slaughter. It is in-humane, and the meat is tainted and unfit for consumption. I question the close proximity wild horses and burros in long term holding so close to OK. The rest of the country does not agree with horse slaughter, you just gave your state a huge black eye!

I believe that horse slattering is very cruel and unusaul punishment to horses. They do not deserve to be killed for there meat. Please have a heart and sign the bill to help STOP THE SLATTERING OF HORSES. Also think about the ways horses helped the human race to become what it is today. With out them we wouldn’t be hear today.
