Unknown-5RENO, Nev. — Branded horses are going to auction at the Livestock Exchange in Fallon, but the unbranded horses are off the market.

Reno Federal Court Judge Miranda Du granted a wild horse advocacy group a temporary restraining order blocking the sale of unbranded horses for this auction.

Advocates say the horses were gathered illegally from public range lands, and they were afraid the animals would end up at foreign slaughterhouses.

A man who answered the phone at the Livestock Exchange Saturday afternoon indicated they were selling horses but were five hours behind schedule. He declined to comment further until this evening after the auction.

( Further information – 149 unbranded horses were pulled to await the trial on the TRO. Around 200 horses were bought by KBers and sent to slaughter – Jerry)

That any of the horses are being sent to slaughter is WRONG!

Three suuits were filed. Leigh’s failed and agered Judge Du. The Cloud Foundation filed and appeared via phone from Washiington DC (Western watersheds joined with Cloud, Wild Horse Preservation and added Leigh, not wild horse education, for using her atty’s bar number). This suit brought law and fact that Judge Du could rule on and she granted the TRO. A third suit was also file through a different local counsel than Cowan, Leigh was not added as a plaintiff) by Protect Mustangs and Citizens Against Equine Saughter. The Cloud and Protect Mustangs suit will bring justice to this incident. It was a hrrible day of reality.
Please support Cloud, Western Watersheds, Protect Mustangs and Citizens Against Equine sLaughter who at the last minute saved hundreds of horses. Advocates were at the sale yesterday trying to buy those branded horses unfortunate enough to be caught up in this manmade mess.

I don’t know what to say. Words aren’t enough to describe my anger, frustration and disappointment in my fellow man. I don’t know how those KBs live with tthemselves. Who was in attendance at that auction? Was the local public invited or even aware? I can’t imagine any nearby rescues or individuals allowing KBs to get any of those horses. Sounds like one shady operation.

My heart is with those horses i can’t get it out of my mind the severity of terror they are going through. Thank You for the TRO I know many of you are exhausted but still keep fighting many blessing to you.
