Appaloosa/Quarter Horse Registered?: Sex:
Mare DOB:
~2000
Height:
14.1 hh
Color: Dun
Markings:
Location:
Kileen, TX
Adoption Fee:
$500
Temperament:
Shyanna is a very sweet
and loving horse who
enjoys attention. She
loves to be brushed, is
easy to catch and
trailer. She knows her
name and will come to
you. She will need to
have her hooves worked
on a consistent basis.
In the future she may
require shoes, but as of
now she has a natural
farrier working on her
to correct her hoof
issues. Right now it’s
too early to tell if she
will ever be ridable
again or not.
Physical problems /
health issues:
At this time Shyanna is
not ridable. Her front
legs and hooves are the
main issue right now. It
is very important that
she be kept on track
with hoof care. At this
time we are having a
farrier come every eight
weeks, but she may have
to be done every six
weeks. It depends on how
her hooves progress. For
now she is coming along
slowly. It will take
time to get her truly
sound. We are not going
to rush her recovery and
taking a chance on
hurting her, or making
things worse for
her. She is also still
slightly still under
weight but gaining.
Interaction with horses:
She gets along in a
herd, has been dominant
in some situations and
not in others. Shyanna
is very pushy at feeding
time. In her current
herd she shows no signs
of being dominant, but
will stand her ground. I
consider her as middle
of the herd.
Interaction with people:
Shyanna is very sweet
and gentle with people.
History:
Training / abilities:
Shyanna is broke to
ride, but with her
current physical issues,
we do not know if she
will ever be healthy
enough to ride again.

Other comments:
Shyanna is a very cute
horse. She’s small but
stout and a very easy
keeper! Though she can
be stubborn at times in
typical horse fashion,
she has no bad
habits. She will need
separation for feeding
as she can be aggressive
with others when food is
involved.
