Temperament: "Metro" has won all of our hearts over the past 8 months. He is very playful and loving. Wonderful with children!!!

Physical problems / health issues: He was severely injured in a  race on St Thomas after a stunning career in Puerto Rico and St Croix.  He suffered four major fractures in his left front ankle. He has healed, but he can not be ridden ever again, and must have a stall to come into at night to rest his leg.  It is never going to look normal again, but he does not know the difference, is happy and acts foolish all the time (trotting away when he wants to graze more or explore, playing, bucking, etc.)

Interaction with horses:

Interaction with people: He is trusting, quiet and a wonderful friend.

History: Previously raced and suffered a career ending injury on the track. Metro then was rehabilitated by the volunteers at VICCTRE and was transferred to Florida from the Virgin Islands to find him a new, loving home.

Training / abilities: Metro was raced but due to his injury is now a companion horse only.

Experience level required to work with this horse: Beginner on the ground.
