Temperament: Perfect – Lou has no vices; he’s very pleasant to be around and to have in your barn and pasture.

Physical problems / health issues: He came to HfH severely malnourished but he is gaining weight.

Interaction with horses: Lou was turned out with many other horses and miniatures, a goat, a pig, and two Donkeys and he got along with all them. He was low man on the Totem pole but that might change as he gains weight and strength. Still, no evidence was seen of any studly behavior.

Interaction with people: If Lou were smaller he’d be a pocket pony. He loves people, loves to follow you and is a talker. He is very loving.

History: Lou was part of a 26 horse seizure in Galveston County.

Training / abilities: Unknown.

Experience level required to work with this horse: To be determined as Lou becomes healthier.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No. Reared?  Kicked? No. Bitten? No. Other?

Ground handling: Catch? Yes. Lead? Yes. Tie? Yes. Trailer? Lou appears not to have a lot of experience so he can be a challenge to load but he’s fine once he in the trailer.  Clip? Trim Feet? Yes. Bathe? Yes.
