Lolipo
Breed: Arabian/pony cross
Sex: Mare
DOB: 1978
Weight:
Height: 13.3 hh
Location: Luther, OK
Adoption Fee: $100

Temperament: Sweet and smart, shy at times, Lolipo has a gentle spirit.  She can be hard to catch at times, but once caught is very cooperative.  She was adopted out as a companion pretty quickly, but was recently returned due to an adopter's change in circumstances.  It was through no fault of hers.

Physical problems / health issues: None, great feet.

Interaction with horses:  Getting along well in mixed herd.

Interaction with people:

History: She was originally seized from a neglectful home and then placed with the organization. Lolipo was returned through no fault of her own in September 2004.

Training / abilities: Lolipo does not appear to have formal training, but has had children lead around on her back and put up no fuss.  She has also been saddled and mounted without incident.  It wouldn't take much to get her going. Leadline use currently, for more formal riding, she would need training. She's a sturdy little gal and there is no physical reason she can't be ridden.

Experience level required to work with this horse: Novice on the ground, someone experienced with training to get her going more under saddle.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No. Reared? No. Kicked? No. Bitten? No. Other? No.

Ground handling: Catch? Can be difficult, better with feed Lead? Yes Tie? Yes Trailer? Yes Clip? Unknown Trim Feet? Yes, stands well for farrier. Bathe? Yes, Tolerates It

Special needs: None, she's an easy keeper, especially for her age.

Other comments: 3 foster homes have indicated that Lolipo could possibly be trained for riding.   She is older and small, so only children and lightweight adults should ride her after training.
