“These assessments are based on how these horses respond in their current environment and any change in their current environment, riders, diet, etc could have an effect on the horses' immediate performance. Horses need time to adjust when moved to new surroundings. We highly recommend you visit, spend time with the equines and evaluate the equine before making a decision"

Explain overall Health:  Leroy came to me in good flesh in October 2008 at the age of 4.  Since then, he has gone through a growth spurt, adding 1-2 inches in height and about 50 pounds of muscle.  He has had absolutely no health problems, other than a minor bout of choke.  He now has several large, smooth rocks in his feeder and the choke has not reoccurred.  He is a very easy keeper, maintaining excellent condition on a small amount of alfalfa pellets, along with pasture and the appropriate amount of “Mare and Maintenance” for a horse of his weight

Explain overall training:  Unfortunately, responsibilities at work have made it impossible to work with Leroy on a regular basis.  I had begun Clinton Anderson-type training with Leroy, planning to work with him a minimum of 4 times a week, but long hours at work have interfered.  The training I have done with him has been VERY successful.  He is attentive and responsive and a very quick learner.  I look forward to being able to advance him fairly quickly once my responsibilities at work decrease.

Explain history if known:  Rescued from starvation situation.
