Kelly Rose has a good
temperament, easy to
work with. She is gentle
with kids.

with our other horses
(geldings).

She rides well in all
gaits, although she does
not neck rein well. We
have had Kelly Rose for
six weeks and have
ridden almost every day
since she arrived. She
had a few bad habits at
the beginning (trouble
mounting, picking up
feet, nipping) but has
not exhibited these
traits since we have
been working with
her. She has a very
smooth lope and rides on
trails and open fields
around cows and
deer. She would be great
for a person that
prefers a shorter
horse. We would not
consider her a
beginner’s horse because
she would take advantage
of a complete
novice. Kelly Rose is
not dangerous in any way
but would “vapor lock”
when she decides the
ride is over and a
novice might not know
enough about
horsemanship to get her
moving.
