Temperament: Isis is such a sweet horse.  She has no stable vices, has a great disposition and really enjoys having attention.  She loves being groomed and has greatly improved with giving her hooves.  She halters and leads fairly well and is accepting of almost anything you need to do.  She is gentle enough for kids to handle.  She does not spook at anything and seems happy just getting some good food and attention.  I can’t say enough great things about this horse.

Physical problems / health issues:  Isis is slowly gaining weight.  She was very underweight when she arrived and her coat was in terrible condition with rain rot.  Her coat has improved and she is going to be a beautiful dark bay.  Her hooves have given her the biggest problem and we have been battling with abscesses on both fronts which have caused her a lot of pain.  Due to the condition of her hooves she may never be rideable.

Interaction with horses:  Isis has been turned out with one QH mare and one gelding pony.  She gets along great with both.  I believe she would be fine with any herd.

Interaction with people:  Isis is wonderful with people.  She likes to be groomed and loved on.  She is very gentle and I am completely comfortable with my kids being around her.

History:

Training / abilities: Unknown at this time.

Experience level required to work with this horse: Beginner on the ground as long as they know how to handle problems with her hooves.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No  Reared?  No  Kicked? No Bitten?  No Other?

Ground handling: Catch? Yes Lead? Yes Tie? Working on this.  Trailer? Yes Clip?  Unknown Trim Feet? Fine on the front getting better with the back. Bathe?

Special needs: Lots of good nutrition and attention to her hooves.  She has been on Bute for pain and may need some type of pain therapy for awhile.  We are looking into some natural remedies.
