Temperament: When Guapo was first brought in, he was untouchable. We loaded him like you would cattle.  I took him to a friend’s house as an emergency holding spot since I have mares and jennies. Within a few days she had her hands all over him except his face. When he was taken to the vet and she said he was around 4 years old, and he did great with her! When she got him confined she got the halter on with no problem and by the time it was all said and done she told me that he was the easiest donkey that I have brought her so far and pretty broke at that. She said that the day after gelding she put him in the round pen to chase him around (donkeys don't lunge) because he needed the movement. Every time she would go to chase him he would run to her husband and put his forehead on his hip as if to hide. I went to pick him up and she lead him straight to my trailer, with my presence behind him as gentle pressure. He loaded easily.

Physical problems / health issues:

Interaction with horses: He has recently been gelded, so is isolated for now.

Interaction with people:

History: Guapo was donated in lieu of seizure. His pasture mate was down and had been down 2 days. He was skin hanging on bone, and unfortunately, had to be put down.

Training / abilities: Guapo was scared at first, but has very quickly relaxed. It appears that he has been handled quite a bit in the past.

Experience level required to work with this horse:

Has this horse ever:  Bucked?  Reared?  Kicked?  Bitten?  Other?

Ground handling: Catch? Yes. Lead? Yes. Tie?  Trailer? Yes. Clip?  Trim Feet?  Bathe?
