Temperament: Firefly is a bit standoffish and nervous.  She is reserved and a little defensive but can be approached. 

Physical problems / health issues: Firefly has a massive scar on her left side, cause unknown.  She also has a stifle issue that causes her pain and prevents her from being ridden.  Every so often her leg will swell and get puffy for a short time then it goes away.    

Interaction with horses: After she has gotten to know them, Firefly is amiable with other horses.  She would make a good companion for a horse that is already in a family situation but needs a friend.

Interaction with people: Firefly prefers to stay away from people.  She will allow you to approach her but only on her terms.  She is not a horse to turn your back to; you need to be cautious and always on the alert when near her.   

History: Surrendered to HfH when her owner was investigated for neglect.

Training / abilities: With work and patience, Firefly could overcome her wariness of people and become a good companion.  Her trainer would have to be gentle and patient. 

Experience level required to work with this horse: Experienced.
