2002

Location:
Kingsland, TX

Temperament:
Carmen Diaz was named
for her big brown eyes.
She is a beautiful full
size donkey, but small
for her breed. Carmen
has evidently been
abused and possibly
hobbled or roped and
tied. She is so afraid
of letting anyone touch
any part of her legs,
that it has been hard to
win her trust.
She is not a mean
donkey...she is super
sweet! Just scared to
death of humans. She
will win anyone over
with her beautiful face!
Physical problems /
health issues:
Carmen is expecting a
foal late spring or
early summer 2008
Interaction with horses:
Interaction with people:
Carmen is nervous around
people still, but she is
learning to trust her
handlers.
History:
Training / abilities:
None yet. After 2
months, she will now let
us "scratch" her
everywhere but her
legs. She will not let
us approach if we have a
halter or lead rope in
our hands.
