Temperament: Bruce is a gentle easy going horse. He can be pushy at times but he has that sweet personality that will make you just fall in love.

Physical problems / health issues: Bruce has a breathing problem called Heaves. During the hot summer heat is when he is at his worst. But if you keep his hay watered down and the dust down he gets by good.

Interaction with horses: He gets along really well. He shows a angry side at feeding time but its just show. He likes to be in charge but will back down when threatened.

Interaction with people: Bruce loves attention and love his treats. Likes his head to be scratched and loved on.

History:

Training / abilities: Bruce is very rideable. You can put a 2 yr old on his back. He knows when a kid is on his back. You couldn't put him in a trot if he had to with a kid on his back. My grand kids love to ride him. They pull on his tail and  legs. When they feed him treats he is real careful about taking them.

He can't handle long rides, I take him for a walk around the block and he can hardly breath. He would make a great therapy horse for children.

Experience level required to work with this horse: Anybody, any age.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No. Reared? No. Kicked? At other horses only. Bitten? Other horses only. Other?

Ground handling: Catch? Yes. Lead? Yes. Tie? Yes. Trailer? Yes. Clip? No. Trim Feet? Yes.  Bathe? Yes.

Special needs: He needs to be on medication for his breathing.

Other comments: Bruce is a very loving and gentle horse for his size and will make a good back yard horse to let the kids ride once in a while. He will never be a long trail horse. Just a hour or two at a time. But don't let his pushiness fool you. Once you get a bridle on him his whole personality changes to his meek moldable piece of putty that will do anything you want him to do.
