14.2 hh
Color: Bay
Markings:

Date: April 6,

Quinlan, TX
Adoption Fee:
$350
Temperament:
BJ is gentle and
athletic. He
occasionally shows his
Arabian personality, but
it’s not a problem.
Physical problems / health issues:
None. He has been vet
checked, immunizations
and worming up-to-date,
good teeth, quickly put
his weight back on.
Interaction with horses:
BJ is not at the top or
the bottom of a mixed
herd.
Interaction with people:
No problem for anyone
who treats him right. He
can be a little fresh
when he has been out to
pasture. He seeks
interaction and shows
his manners.
History:
Training / abilities:
BJ’s foster has ridden
him and thinks he
probably was ridden in a
pasture and around the
house, may have been
trail riding. BJ accepts
leg and rein commands,
he is light on the bit.
He stops, backs and
turns; nothing tends to
spook him. BJ needs 30
days of training and to
be ridden at least a
couple times a week.
Experience level
required to work with
this horse:
Intermediate – BJ is
athletic minded.
Has this horse ever:
Bucked? No. Reared? No.
Kicked?
He kicked a
stranger once but has
never offered bad
behavior to anyone in
his foster family. Bitten? No. Other?
Ground handling:
Catch? Normally can
walk right up to him. Lead?
Yes. Tie? Yes.
Trailer?
Needs some work. Clip?
Trim Feet?
Yes. Bathe?
Special needs: BJ
was very protective of
Fanny when they came to
foster, he let her eat
first and watched over
her. They are in
separate areas now but
are ‘fence buddies’.
BJ’s foster dad would
like to see BJ and Fanny
adopted together if
possible once her health
issues (hernia repair
and gain weight) are
resolved.
Other comments:
BJ is a beautiful horse.
He would be a nice horse
for pleasure riding and
much more.
