Horses need time to adjust when moved to new surroundings. We highly recommend you visit, spend time with the equines and evaluate the equine before making a decision"

Explain overall Health:  Allegra had tendon release surgery when she was eight months old.  She had a bone scraping on this same leg ten months later.  The vet thinks she is fully recovered.  She will always have a lump and a scar on this leg but does not affect her movement at all.  Per the vet, she would not be a good candidate for daily ranch work or eventing, but she should be just fine for pleasure riding.

Explain overall training:  Calm and laid back personality that takes everything in stride.  Easily led over a tarp and accepts new situations without fuss.  Listens well.  Trusting of whoever is handling her and is not spooky.  Willing to learn and eager to please so she should be easy to train.  She would need someone experienced in training young horses to start her training.

Explain history if known:  Allegra had her hock damaged by something in the pasture, probably wire or pasture debris.  Her breeder was going to shoot her rather than invest in her rehabilitation.  A Habitat member rescued her and she was turned over to HfH.
