Sex: Mare
DOB:  2005
Height: 14+ growing
Color: Chestnut
Markings: blaze and sock
Location:  Sheridan, TX
Adoption Fee: $250

Temperament: Very sweet and gentle natured.

Physical problems / health issues: Alani had a large wound on her hind leg that was left unattended by her former owner.  After care and rehab at her foster home she is completely recovered.  According to vets there will be no lasting effect. She is young and in very good health. She is an easy keeper.

Interaction with horses: She is low in the herd. She does her best to keep out of trouble.

Interaction with people: Gentle and seems to like people despite her past.  Alani loves attention.

History: Training / abilities: Alani was seized due to neglect with her foal Keoni and another horse.  Her foal is weaned now and in another foster home doing well.  She seems to have had general handling training but was pregnant from about the age of 18 months until her baby was weaned recently.

Experience level required to work with this horse: intermediate. She is very well mannered and sweet.

Has this horse ever:  Bucked? No Reared?  No Kicked?  At other horses Bitten? No Other?

Ground handling: Catch?  Yes Lead?  Yes Tie? Yes Trailer?  Yes Clip?  Unknown Trim Feet? Yes   Bathe?

Special needs: None

Other comments: Alani is a super sweet mare with a lovely face and personality.  She looks to be a well bred and nicely put together mare.  Someone put serious effort into this horse but apparently discarded her when she got hurt.  She will make an extremely nice horse for someone. She is just now approaching an age where she should be trained under saddle
