Temperament: She is shy, but is used to being handled. Her foster mom reports that she can slowly walk up and scratch Four Socks’ shoulder.

Physical problems / health issues: 4 Socks might be pregnant. Don’t know yet. She has an old injury to her right rear pastern. It has some proud flesh, but it doesn’t seem to bother her when she runs.

Interaction with horses: 4 Socks is with a herd of five other mares. They have all been together since being seized. She gets along well there, but doesn’t like to leave her lady-friends. Once she does though, her potential is absolutely there. She just needs a little time to trust.

Interaction with people: She is timid, but coming along. She is much more trusting than her herd-mates.

History: Seized by law enforcement.

Training / abilities: Not known at this time.

Ground handling: Catch?  Lead? Yes Tie?  Trailer?  Clip?  Trim Feet? 4 Socks seemed a little startled by this and didn’t allow it, but she was still a lady and didn’t bite or kick. She just seemed caught off guard and backed up. Bathe? Unknown

Other comments: 4 Socks is looking for the person to build trust and confidence in her relationship with humans. It will be done, but will take a little time.
